THANK YOU for Giving!!

This past Saturday 14 Tonja’s team worked at the Woodruff Clothes Closet for their service project. We have been collecting clothes from all the Upward Families for the last 3 weeks. During that time you have given graciously. We ended up with over 20 full bags/boxes of clothes and shoes. As you will see in the pictures below that the shelves and racks were almost empty. The 2 crates were completely empty and we filled them with all the donations you gave and still had to put things on the floor. The girls hung and stocked the shelves with everything you gave. The is now enough close to help many families. We do not have every size but there are many more to choose from.

We had the privilege to help those in need as they came in to find clothes for their children and family members. There was one particular child that came in that had us in tears. Her name is Brianna. She is 6 years old and 3 weeks ago she burned her foot down to the bone. Her family was already struggling and now they are having to travel to Augusta Georgia once each week for skin tests. The grandmother told us she will have to continue to do these skin graphs each week for the next 10 years. If you would, say a prayer for Brianna that God would heal her quickly. Thank you again for your generosity in helping those in need. I will leave a red box at the volleyball center for 2 more weeks in case anyone else still wanted to donate. I will continue to take things to the store. If you need to contact me anytime to donate I will meet with you. My email is .
